I don't really see it blowing up, but I figure some folks will go for it.I like the remix though, Mystikal sounded like they just took a verse from a 98 No Limit leftvoer, he sounds the EXACT same. Waka "Wild boy" on Friday, some girls wanted to hear it. I got a request for Machine Gun Kelly ft. Everything aside from those monthly/weekly spots is more random and depends on the promoters and DJ's I work with.I did Laugh Factory and Mystudio Grammy's Weekend, and we have a few spots that aren't clubs but we rent them out, mainly Downtown. I'm DJ'n Paid Dues this Saturday, and did Rock The Bells last year. I had 1835 on Fridays last summer, but it never got poppin like we wanted.I know B.A.D is there on Saturdays now. I did Green Door in Hollywood on Saturdays for most of last year, but they are (supposedly) remodeling that and Cabana to combine them. I have a monthly at Bronson Bar on Sunset, last Thursday of the month, which is my favorite gig.small dive bar but I can play a LOT of different music, not just the "hot" tracks here. I do Zen Lounge in Hermosa every other Saturday, or whenever I want to really. We were at Haute (old club Pearl) on Fridays, but crowd was kinda hood and they shut us down two Fridays ago, so now I might do Forbidden Lounge on Santa Monica/La Cienega twice a month. And in Florida, there's songs that will NEEEEEVER make it outside of Florida.the Bing Ah, Stick & Roll, Shone type tracks from 08 probably didn't even scratch Atlanta had NO Regional music getting played in clubs, although The Bay did with Hyphy. It seems like only a few places have MAJOR differences.even before Jerkin, L.A. If anybody happens to travel, they can just note that they heard some songs in that other city that were going hard. Yea I get you, well yeah that would definitely work then. R-tistic I think if you look at your posts youve already been doing this for the most part lol I want what works for everyone regardless of club / crowd type / genre I like how you broke it down, but haveing everyone just list where they at and what they are pushing makes it easyier to filter my searches.Īdmitedly.I listen to every song put on these "Whats HOT Threads" in an effort to sound differnt than whats in my area.so I dont need just the hits. I like the fact you let me know what works specifially in you area. Your regional pics work for my crowd at least 40% which is SUPER HIGH to be way in CAlI.and I want to know what Im looking for when Im digging. I think your not getting where Im coming from.when you put def works and made since.but some of your regional ideas leak out your region quickly. Go ahead and add your picks.whether it's brand new tracks that are heating up, or the main ones that are working in your area. the last few months.haven't been outside the state since ATL in September, so I'm sure it's a bit different there and everywhere else. So yea.that's just an unbiased call from what I've seen being in L.A. Jay-Z and Kanye West "N'ggas in Paris" (Has it got old yet?)īig Sean ft. Kurupt and YG - "Bitch betta have my money"Īrkaydion ft. Problem, IAMSU, YG - "Function" (Might still be Regional, but it's the biggest track in California right now, for sure) French Montana and Drake - "Stay schemin"Į-40 ft. What are the hottest newer tracks you've been playing? I'll list those that have been released within the last 5-6 months.feels like it's not as many as it was a year ago or around Summertime, but most of the main hits seem to come around May-June every year. Let's see if we can run with this one for the rest of the year.
